My cursor blinked mockingly as another

password reset request crawled into my inbox.


I glanced down at the clock, praying it would

somehow be someone else's problem. 3:32pm.

Fuck.


My browser was cluttered with furniture-making

tutorials. Woodworking channels. Japanese joinery

techniques, each fuelling a dream I'd

reserved for "someday".


But right now, "I'm being responsible,

dreams won't pay the bills."

I was a dreamer, a what-ifer,

a professional procrastinator.


I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

I could even imagine the intoxicating

feeling of achieving it.


Yet I couldn't bring myself to do it.

Trapped by the comfort of stability.


So I was just, 'THE LAZY DREAMER'.

Then came change.


I didn't have a moment of motivation,

Nothing 'Just clicked' in my brain.


Instead,

I lost my job,

We sometimes need a catalyst, a turning point,

a 'rock bottom'.


I got lucky; the universe presented mine to me.

But it's never guaranteed.


You may have to seek it out.
